Established in 2009, Bluefield Partners LLP has a leading track record of investing into renewable energy, with in excess of $1 billion of acquisitions and disposals. We have built one of the highest performing track records in the sector.

The success of the investment strategy has been built on focused investment strategies, enabling the investment teams to have a granular knowledge of the specific strategy alongside Bluefield’s highly skilled, technical asset management and operational teams.

From 2017 to Present Day

In 2017 Bluefield started looking at acquisitions of operational solar farms that could be enhanced by the unique combination of investment, technical and operational expertise. This strategy is now in its third vintage.

2013 to Present Day

In 2013 Bluefield IPOd the Bluefield Solar Income Fund on the London Stock Exchange, the first solar focused investment company to be publicly listed in the UK.

The fund is a permanent capital vehicle designed to deliver attractive yield in the form of dividends to investors. Since IPO it has delivered an annualised return of 8.38% 1 and total return c.82%2, making it the highest performing fund of its kind. It can invest in UK based solar, wind, hydro and storage assets.

2009 to 2013

Bluefield led pioneering deals in the UK solar market, including acquisitions on the sites of water utility, Thames Water and Toyota Manufacturing.

The vehicles were private and backed by institutional investors or high net worth individuals.
